MEET DOMINIQUE | Western Heart. Old-world soul.

I’m Dominique, a photographer shaped by wild landscapes, global stories, and a calling to document the kind of moments that feel nostalgic the instant you see them.

I was raised in the heart of Central Oregon, where the high desert meets the Cascades. A childhood spent between juniper-dotted hillsides, snow-capped ridges, and weekend drives through the Willamette Valley and up into Washington, my roots stretch wide and deep across the PNW, and those landscapes carved the way I see: with reverence for ruggedness, affection for quiet moments, and a deep nostalgia for the wild, unfiltered West. Its golden light and fog-kissed mornings raised me, and they continue to shape the way I photograph the world today.

But I’ve also lived a life led by curiosity and purpose. I picked up a camera in 2014 during my senior year at TCU, and everything changed that year during anti-trafficking work in India. That season opened my eyes to the sacredness of every human story and shifted photography from a creative hobby into a calling. Today, my work is fueled by that same belief: that people deserve to be seen with reverence, tenderness, and truth. I became so passionate, I added Photography to my degree as I wanted to learn the craft from the ground up, inside and out.

I’ve wandered old-world streets in fourteen countries (and counting!), and have lived not only in Texas for college but spent a chapter in Nashville. There, I fell in love with the real, unpolished music culture of the writers and was inspired by their the grit and the stories carved from soul . I’ve chased light across continents, always drawn to textures, tones, and timeless beauty. My style lives at the intersection of Western earthiness and European nostalgia: raw yet refined, cinematic yet intimate.

If I’m not photographing, I’m advocating for justice, exploring with my Australian Shepherd Nali, or curled up with coffee and a book, dreaming of my next adventure.

Whether we’re hiking Smith Rock at sunrise, exploring a forgotten cobblestone alley, or documenting your story right here in the high desert, I’m here to create imagery that feels soulful, honest, and deeply human.

MY APPROACH | Intentional. Cinematic. Story-led.

I believe the best images feel like heirlooms : unscripted, emotive, and rich with meaning. I guide gently, observe deeply, and lean into natural light, movement, and environment.

And while I photograph with intention, I also bring a warm, adventurous, joy-filled energy; the kind that puts clients at ease, turns nerves into laughter, and makes every moment feel natural and genuinely fun.

Whether we’re wandering through the ponderosas, dancing under golden light, or sharing quiet moments in between, my goal is for you to feel fully yourselves.

My work blends:

  • candid storytelling

  • film-inspired tones

  • old-world composition

  • honest emotion

  • editorial elegance

I’m the calm presence during emotional moments, the hype woman during celebrations, and the steady storyteller throughout it all.

I don’t force perfection, I follow truth.
I’m not interested in stiff poses, scripted smiles, or overly staged moments (don’t worry, we will still get all the portraits your Aunt Vicky requests).
Your day unfolds naturally. I’m simply there to witness it, honor it, and freeze your legacy for generations to come.

WHEN I’M NOT BEHIND THE LENS…

  • I will always say yes to camping or a spontaneous backroad adventure.

  • I’m a big sports gal, football, basketball, baseball, hockey…all of it. Was I in the front rows at the 50 yard line in the student section at every TCU home game? Not no.

  • I began my vinyl collection (obsession) in Nashville and fell in love with true country roots and real storytelling. If there’s a local concert, I’m there.

  • …there is music playing constantly. The Eagles are my #1 fave. Classic rock and country (I saw Dolly Parton in person and cried, obviously), underground hiphop, outlaw and rock are played in my car on a daily basis (but not encompassing)…there is never a dull moment over here! My parents deserve a shoutout for my music taste here.

  • I started training in ballet when I was four…don’t be surprised if I fall into a dance move to get the perfect shot (or if you find me getting in the groove while photographing on the dance floor).

  • In contrast to the pointe shoes and ballet rehearsals, another happy place of mine is on a horse. They are one of my other passions. Teaching riding lessons, Liberty work, and endurance riding anywhere between the Ochocos, Sawtooths or the Rockies, yes please.

  • “Foodie” should actually be my middle name…I will cook or bake my way through a cookbook or follow a Food Network special on the reg.

  • I always have a cup of coffee in my hand and a book in the other. Shoutout to Thump Coffee here in Bend for keeping me sane.

  • My pupchild, Nali, is my soulmate. She is always by my side (and has been to 18 states herself!). If you have animals and want them included, I got you covered. They deserve to be part of the moments!

Let’s tell YOUR story!

Hey Dom!
